Is It A Lie? Let’s Take A Vote…

PLEASE….

Close to 5000 readers of Politfact.com voted that Palin’s remarks concerning death panels resulting from the proposed healthcare reform is a lie. They voted it “Lie of the Year”

Of all the falsehoods and distortions in the political discourse this year, one stood out from the rest.
“Death panels.”

You don’t VOTE “Lie of the Year”… You investigate something and then disprove it, or prove the contrary.

Like “Watergate”

Why does anyone care what 5000 readers “perceive” to be a lie? I am not saying any of the reported remarks are true or false. My question is who the heck cares what “readers” voted for concerning what is a lie or not.

Were the allegations ever investigated? Where they proven false? The healthcare plan hasn’t been implemented yet, so who is to say that what Palin spoke of can not come to pass? It is not beyond the realm of possibility. We have examples of comparable, sinister events in history.

Tell me how this statement below, quoted from the website, proves Palin, or Beck or even Harry Reid for that matter, wrong? Where is the proof?

“PolitiFact readers overwhelming chose Sarah Palin’s claim that the health care bill contains “death panels” as Lie of the Year. A resounding 61 percent of our 4,864 voters picked death panels as the top lie. No other finalist in the field of eight statements came close.”
