The People Speak In Atlanta Georgia - America’s Town Hall
A reported 12,000 Americans made their way to Atlanta’s Centennial Olympic Park for America’s Healthcare Town Hall on Saturday, August 15th.. Chief organizers Stephen Northington and Allen Hardage amassed an exceptional lineup of speakers and Healthcare Reform advocates who proposed solutions that do not include the massive government expansion being pushed by Washington and the Obama Administration.
The lineup included Atlanta’s own Herman Cain, Joel Aaron, Ken Cook and Ben Milhalski among many others.
Country music recording artist John Berry kicked off the event with his rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. In an awesome show of patriotism, the crowd removed their hats and placed their hands over their heart as our beloved National Anthem was being sung. This was followed by The Pledge of Allegiance and an Invocation which included a bible reading from Psalms 121. “He who keeps you, will never sleep”. All joined in prayer thanking God for our Liberty and Freedom, and requesting his intervention in seeking truth. We asked that we would not be distracted by our own efforts or politics, but that we all would seek His wisdom and the hope which lies within Him.
I had previously made a post about Marine Sergeant Paul Curtman. He had outlined the enumerated powers of the Federal Government and stated that nowhere in the Constitution was authorization for the government to be involved in our health care. He demanded an apology at the town hall.
Curtman was the first speaker and got the crowd fired up by quoting Thomas Jefferson:
In questions of power, then, let no more be heard of confidence in man, but bind him down from mischief by the chains of the Constitution.
The battle plans have been laid, and the forces of Liberty and Freedom are on the march against those who would enslave us in Tyranny.
In Allen’s words “This was not the end only the beginning.”
If you were unable to attend, you may access an On Demand Video of the full event here.

If you are ticked off at what Washington has been doing to our Constitution, to our liberties, and to our freedoms, join with Americans like the ones who attended this event. It’s not about Democrats, it’s not about Republicans, it is about the preservation of our founding principles and the preservation of our Constitution which outlines how the Federal Government is to be constructed, what it can and cannot do, what our God given rights are, and that they can never be infringed.
If you can assist in supporting the organizers who have burdened the cost of putting up this event you can make a donation to the effort at the America’s Healthcare Town Hall’s website here.
Tell Washington, in the words of Ken Cook, “WE WILL NOT BE QUIET!”,
